A Bowl For Furry Travel Companions

Picture of a collapsible water bowl to take along with dogs while traveling.Spotted this cute collapsible travel bowl while browsing Amazon the other day.

At first glance I thought it was maybe a catch-all bowl meant to be set up on the counter of a hotel room or something as a way for people to keep keys, wallets, and other travel miscellany in one place.

But when I clicked through it turns out that it’s a travel food and water bowl for dogs on the go lol.

It’s made of waterproof fabric and makes for a good sized dog bowl but also zips up pretty compactly.

Judging by the reviews people seem to like it a lot, with one person even saying that they like to use it to water their horse during outings.

Picture of the Jardin collapsible dog water bowl folded and zipped up.The main downside according to the reviews seems to be that when it comes to water it’s only good for temporary use, since if the water sits in the bowl for an extended period of time it will start to leak through.

So much for being ‘waterproof’ like it says in the description. Maybe ‘water resistant’ would be more accurate? Or maybe those people’s bowls sustained some kind of damage to break the waterproof seal. Either way if I had this bowl I’d keep that in mind and wouldn’t expect to leave water in it.

It’s still pretty cool though since it folds down so small and since it can be clipped right to a backpack it would stay out of the way until you needed it. Plus… it could theoretically still double as a catch-all :D.

Jack Kerouac ‘On The Road’ Luggage Tag By Penguin Books

Penguin Books Kerouac On The Road Luggage TagSeems like Penguin Books is looking to expand their brand beyond straight out books these days.

Not long ago I came across a nice set of postcards each done in the design of one of 100 of their popular books, and now I see that they’re doing travel gear along the same lines as well.

Like this luggage tag done in the classic Penguin Books style of orange and white with the little Penguin logo at the bottom.

The book? On The Road by Jack Kerouac. Fitting, and it gives a while different dimension to the idea of a travel story.

Cute Hello Kitty Passport Cover!

Picture of a Hello Kitty passport cover which is pink and has Hello Kitty on the front holding a letter.

Saw this on Amazon yesterday, what a cute Hello Kitty passport cover X).

It’s done in the style of an air mail letter which is of course pink and has little Hello Kitty stamps on it. Hello Kitty is pictured on the front holding a letter, is she about to send the letter off or open and read it…who knows but it’s cute.

The reviews for this Hello Kitty passport cover are mixed, some people absolutely love it and others think that the plastic is too cheap. I guess if it didn’t work out you could always keep it around as a really cute decoration lol.

Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost

Picture of a luggage tag with a quote about Aragorn from Lord Of The Rings saying Not all those who wander are lost. This blog is about all the stories that come from a love of wandering the world.

Let’s face it though, most of us can’t be out travelling all the time… but nothing can stop us from wandering anyway ;).

I say taking a trip can be as easy as letting yourself dive into the mystery of a far away place. It can start with picture, a story, or whatever you can get your hands on in the here and now, all that matters is that you keep exploring.

And what blooms from this kind of exploration can be very, very interesting.

So to start things off with a good luck charm here’s a picture of a travel tag that I keep by my office door as a reminder to keep wandering even if I happen to be stuck in one place at the moment.
